Cover Illustration

I'm delighted with how the image works on the cover, especially as it was an unusual approach for me. I drew the tiger in pastel, charcoal and coloured pencil leaving the background white. I created a background digitally to suit the story of the book which has the tiger in a cage in a forest, and then enhanced the drawing using photoshop to better match the environment. A thoroughly engaging way of working. This version of the book is currently only available in the US, published by Candlewick.
